The CAC has received funding through the Children’s Trust of Massachusetts through June 2028 to support local youth-serving organizations (YSO’s) and schools with implementing the Safe Kids Thrive prevention framework. This framework, developed by the Massachusetts Legislative Taskforce on the Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse, consists of eight prevention elements that are research-backed in preventing child sexual abuse. These elements include:
The CAC has a Child Sexual Abuse Prevention (CSAP) Coordinator that can provide brief workshops and longer trainings on this prevention framework to any interested youth-serving organizations, businesses, and schools. The Coordinator will be leading learning cohorts for four months, each consisting of a representative from YSO’s to consult and support them in fully implementing this prevention framework to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the youth they serve.
