Zelda Wanstok (she/her) is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social worker (LICSW) who became passionate about Children’s Advocacy Centers (CACs) during a graduate school placement at a CAC, in Brooklyn, New York. Zelda earned a Master of Social Work and a Master of Public Health and brings ten years of experience providing clinical support and mental health services to youth, adults, and families who have experienced trauma. Zelda also has worked with survivors of domestic violence and their children at a non-profit organization in New York City and spent years working as a clinician and then a clinical supervisor for an intensive in-home family therapy program providing Multidimensional Family Therapy, in Connecticut. Today, Zelda oversees our CAC’s clinical services, supervises the clinical staff, and provides trauma-focused therapy to children who have experienced sexual abuse, commercial sexual exploitation, or physical abuse. Zelda loves getting to know the children and their caregivers and supporting them throughout their healing journey.
