Mental Health Clinician

Abby Bliss (she/her) has been serving Children’s Advocacy Centers for ten years, first at the CAC in southern Vermont for six years, then joining the CAC of Franklin County and North Quabbin five years ago. Abby earned her Masters of Social Work in May 2026 and recently joined our CAC as a full-time mental health clinician. At the CAC, Abby–a survivor herself–ensures that all who come through the door feel welcome, safe, supported, and believed. Abby works with children and their caregivers (often throughout the life of the investigation and beyond) to understand their unique needs and provide assistance and referrals, helping them navigate the path from victim to survivor. Because she knows the impact that sexual violence can have on a child or adolescent, she provides support for as long as is needed, working with families and individuals to encourage the healing process. Her favorite part of her job is the honor of developing trusting relationships with youth and families, and witnessing the myriad of small steps each survivor makes toward resilience and healing.
